The most hostile poker game I have ever played...

The most hostile poker game I have ever played was played tonight on May31. I just had to write a blog about this to get some of my frustration out....

The night started out pretty good surprisingly as my friends I met in college cancelled on me for paint balling but good thing I made plans for poker instead. But we had to drive 20 Min's away to get to the house. But it was well worth that drive. There I met 2 new people. Amanda and Phil. Amanda was the sister of my friends co worker and Phil was the co workers childhood friend. We all got along great and if you have ever seen one of my videos. You can understand how easy along I get along with and they all took my jokes in good.

The poker game was more of a friendly game more then anything. As all of us just paid $10 to get in the game. First place took everything. Pretty much the game had me making a come from the back victory as I couldn't get someone to lay down 2Nd pair on the flop even though I was betting the size of the pot. But my patience paid off and I got to make a come back and go heads up. But I was still a 3:1 underdog. I got lucky though as he wanted to give me a chance and keep blinds small.

Big mistake. I shift to completely different gears when I play heads up. My aggression is just plain stupid at times. I basically changed that to a 3:2 underdog and by then we changed upped the blinds 2 times. I was lying telling him I was hitting everything. While I was making moves on him with nothing I would flip over my cards when I did hit something. It got to the point where I turned the tables and he was the 3:1 underdog until his phone rang and we got invited to another poker game. We decided to call it wraps and I would pocket $30 and he would just take his money back. I did not disagree as the 3 other people that were already out were getting tired of watching.

We took 2 vehicles to get to the new house were we met about 10 new people. The only thing I can say is snobs and dumb asses. There were about 7 of them huddled around a xbox360 playing NHL. For introductions they didn't even make eye contact with any of us. I'm a small things person, and if you don't give me respect from the start. You will never earn it back. I will bury you if I get any chance to over the smallest things that shouldn't have to be asked for. But whatever I was just hear for the poker game I didn't expect to make friends with these people so I just sat back and just listened in on the little NHL talk.

I seriously felt so out of place hanging around these new people as they just went in the separate conversations and left all of us hanging there. I seriously wanted to punch all of them right in the face. It took about 45Min's to start because people kept on smoking and just pulling stupid shit. I just wanted to play poker. I didn't come here to drink or do anything, if you invite people over for poker we better be playing poker and not watch a xbox 360 game play. Its common sense not to invite people over when your not ready yourself.

But when the game I started there was next to none chips as we had 9 people at the table and I only have the small poker chip sets. So I played really conservatively tring to figure out what people did in situations. I pretty much folded 20 hands until I finally got AK but my patience paid off and I hit top pair on the flop after I reraised. someone preflop. He called my all in and I doubled up. But it went down hill from there. I was sitting opposite ends to the people that seemed to be the "experts" I personally see myself smarter then the average poker player as the amount of times I won in home games is ridiculous, but I don't rub my knowledge in front of other people faces....

it all started when someone threw in the chips. not a big deal until one of the guys on the opposite end started making a big deal out of it saying your going to get everyone confused. Personally I rather see peace then a fight so I settled things down with saying "hey,hey hey...... ehhhhhh" just like the fonz from grease. Nothing I was the loudest one at the table and they were still arguing over the dumbest shit. I can't believe it if the ehh doesn't work nothing is going to work. It was always the 3 experts that was starting stuff telling us about poker adicate....

Its a home game its more relaxed we talk we play cards we have fun. Its not suppose to be hostile. I don't understand why these people called us over if they were going to take this so seriously it was a $10 buy in but their treating it like their life depended on this money.

It got ever worse when the experts made fun of someone as someone didn't know how to play a hand and they played a really weak hand against someone with the nuts. They were basically making fun of each other and it got to the point where someone was making fun of someone not having a girlfriend. After the guy broke up after a 2 year relationship. I was asking myself are these people really this fucking stupid? Its a poker game and your pulling that shit up? Are you serious? Are you tring to start a fight? Your basically doing everything you can to start a fight.

I managed to cool things down by just saying are we playing poker or what? We managed to start playing again until someone accidental misdealt a card and it landed face up. Then the experts started saying your starting shit now! I was in shock how immature these guys were. They were at least 23+ yet their acting like their in high school still. At this point with all the yelling and hostile environment I just started not to care anymore about the game. If you ever meet me in anything with strategy or with athletic ability, I'm really competitive. Unless I get bored or I know I will demolish someone then I stop tring. So if I stop tring that means a lot.

I basically went in with a weak ace against one of the tightest experts at the table. A ace fell I knew he had me beat so i check he check turn comes a blank he check i check. river hits me and I make top 2 pair. At this point I knew I was golden as the only thing that could beat me are trips or a bigger 2 pair which I find 2 pair being highly unlikely. I raised and he just min raised me. At this point If a tight person plays back at me I would just call as they obviously have something if their rerasing me and I'm playing extremely tight myself. But at this point I didn't care it was stupid. My blog is not doing any of this justice as all as these people are just so stupid. Anyways I re raised him all in and he calls flipping over aces so he made trip aces on the flop. Personally I was 70%thinking he was playing a bigger 2 pair or trips and 30% thinking he was still playing a strong ace. The way I usually would play this is raise on the turn after he checked the flop as at that point I would have thought my ace was good. He then probably would have re raised me and there I would fold knowing he had a better ace then me if he would have called the bet and checked to me on the river then I might have been in trouble as I would have put him on a big ace but I'm thinking my first scenario is more realistic.

Anyways I got out and I became a spectator. But more and more arguments blared up over the dumbest little things I felt my head and It was seriously beating because I was sleepy and annoyed at how these people invite people over to play poker but they are such dicks and don't know how to host people. It was trash.

Once again this blog was to vent some frustration out and just share how stupid these people are. I always say the more the merrier but this was just a joke. Hostile as fuck and I can't believe these people are friends as they take things way to seriously. If I can't make you laugh or calm a situation down with my loud mouth something is seriously wrong.....
