This Saturday, Strikeforce brings us a competitive night of fights and its a definite must watch for anyone that loves mma. But lets break down some fights.
CUNG LE VS SCOTT SMITH
This fight it comes down to who has superior stand up as both these guys don't have a great ground game. Cung Le has done sanshou kick boxing and Scott smith basically has mauy thai. But Cung Le has been training Sanshou for longer meanig hes going to be the faster more accurate striker. Scott Smith however he will not go down from a KO as he has a granite chin. Scott smith has more power then cung but cung will be able to avoid scotts slower punchs. I expect Cung Le to stay undefeated and win a decision.(expect a video made for this fight and a small rant on Cung Le)
JOSH THOMSON VS GILBERT MELENDEZ
Both these guys are pretty even everywhere stand up and ground. This fight will come down to whose been more active recently which is Gilbert, Josh has had injuries thats what post phoned this fight 2 times. I expect Melendez to become the new lightweight champion of Strikeforce with a TKO victory in the 4th round
Matt Lindland vs. Jacare Souza
Classic match up of Wrestler vs BJJ. Lindland has been in the fight game longer but hes been in a slump as of late. He will have a big task going into this fight as Jacare is one of the best BJJ guys in MMA today. Simple drops to the ground Linland will get submitted. Lindland isn't known for his striking either so its only a matter of time before Jacare finds a way to take down Lindland. Keep in mind Jacare took down Mousasi which I found pretty crazy. I expect a 2nd round submission victory for Jacare.
MUHAMMED "KING MO" LAWAL VS "IRON" MIKE WHITEHEAD
This is the american debut of "King MO". King mo has been on a roll in japan fighting in sengoku. He looks amazing let me just say that. Mike has also been on a roll too in America. But the guy that will win this fight is King mo. He's less experienced then Mike but he is more explosive and a better wrestler. Mike looked gassed when he fought Kevin Randleman who has had a layoff so thats why im leaning towards the better wrestler. They are both wrestlers with credentials but the explosiveness and overall athleticism is whats going to decide this fight. I expect Mo to prove himself in this fight as his last fight he won a decision while he was injured and hes known as a finisher. I expect a explosive Mo to show up and overwhelm Mike in the first round with A TKO victory.
Theres one more fight on the card but I left it off cause I don't know much about the other 2 fighters.
