Chuck Liddell vs Rich Franklin prediction

Hey guys heres my video. Someone left me a comment telling me Chuck was the underdog, but in my head I just can't see him losing. Don't get me wrong anything can happen in MMA but this fight in my opinion is Chuck's to lose and the only way he will lose is if he gets knocked out but Rich isn't known for his 1 hit KO power. So with the underdog odds calling my name, I decided to put some money on this fight. How much? Well lets just say enough to make me cry if I lose so its quite a bit....

But what I was thinking if my prediction comes true (2nd round TKO by Chuck) I might have to set something up..... Don't quote me though. Its just thoughts right now. But possibly a draw for something worth $20.00 will see the fight is still few weeks away.

UFC 104 Predictions

So I've made a video already talking about Machida vs Shogun but I got bored and decided to write a written blog.

Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio Rua
This fight is simple Machida will win because theres no one in the world that fights like Machida. On the other hand there are tons of mauy thai guys in the world. Also Since Shogun is a very aggressive fighter he will play into Machida's hand and the count striking will pick apart shogun on the feet. I really can't see this fight going to the ground because Machida has excellent take down defense displayed with the fight with Tito. Expect a 3rd round TKO.(If your a online bettor this is the best underdog bet in my opinion.)

Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell
This fight I have Cain. The thing is Ben Rothwell is relative unknown since hes making his UFC debut. But if you do a little research on Ben he is a ex IFL champ and a veteran in mma. The thing is though Ben might get hyped out fighting at the biggest stage in MMA in the co main event. Nerves does crazy things to our bodies. I just can't see Ben performing at the best of his ability. Velasquez has a ton to show for this fight cause he looked like crap when he fought Kongo (but I think he got to much criticism for that fight. Cause Kongo was a big step up from those other guys he previously fought ) and he knows he looked bad and after that fight he even said he wanted to finish Kongo. So I expect to see the best Valasquez I've ever seen. Expect a split decision win from Cain. ( a lot of online bettors have said this is the best underdog bet. But I can't see Cain losing for some reason.)

Josh Neer vs. Gleison Tibau
This fight was tough for me because I'm not a fan of either of these guys. But I'm going to have togo with Tibau and heres why. Both of these guys are vets. They know what their doing in the cage cause their both well rounded so I'm going to go with the guy with more credentials. Grappling advantage I give to Tibau and the thing is Tibau is the bigger fighter. So with the size and grappling advantage I expect Tibau to control the fight and win a decision.

Joe Stevenson vs. Spencer Fisher
Don't even have to explain much Joe is going to win this. He looked extremely good against Nate Diaz he really impressed me. He changed camps to Greg Jackson and now hes a complete new fighter. Standing Fisher has the advantage because Joe is a compact guy with short limbs but once it his the floor Stevenson will win with points and get the unanimous decision

Anthony Johnson vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida
I have no clue who these guys are. I have no idea why their on the main card. So I'm going to go with Johnson because the asian guys always screw me over. I think because when they fight in Japan they don't cut weight so they fight at their natural weight. So when they come into the UFC they are considerably smaller then the american fighters. So I'm going togo out on a limb and just say Johnson 2nd round TKO.

UFC 100 and my day

Well I decided to skip UFC 100 and catch the replay on the internet. Go watch the fights before you even read any further as im going to give my thoughts and they will contain spoilers.

So i skipped the fights because a few friends invited me too go to the Calgary stampede. Which is basically a rodeo with rides on the side for all those that don't know. I went there to see Bif Naked. My thoughts. It was really crowded. Really crowded. I was cold at first because I only wore a t-shirt but there was so many people around me I got warmed up and it felt like I was wearing a hoody. We got there 20 mins before she came out and yet we were about halfway from the stage. But some reason me and my friend Ryan advanced each 5 mins and got closer and closer as the clock ticked down.

One thing I was not impressed by was the amount of mary jane that was going around the stampede. Its a family event. I don't care if you smoke it outside of a bar but a public place where pregnet women and kids are is not the right place. The cops did thier best to control that but the amount of people was just to overwhelming.

Finally when Bif got on stage. we were about 1/4 to the stage but that tallest of tall people were in the very front. Lammmeee... We just stood there and could periodically only see her head. It was pretty lame. Then for some reason people started moshing. It was quite annoyying. As a wet... yes wet from sweat, Native american guy kept pushing me into my friend. Where did this mosh start? who the hell said I was going to mosh. Friggin idiot. I was tottally grossed out as everyone was wet. People even began to surf the crowd. The biggest perverts were in the crowd all the girls got groped as they went up.

Seriously I found it very offensive because once again its a family event.... I even saw a boob. Once again if it was at a concert. A real concert I would not complain but a family event and a boob pops out. Classy... Basically the whole time a wet guy was pushing me into my friend and I was like man I should have sat in the back these guys are friggin wet and annoying. I even fell down once as seriously someone goldberg tackled me.

Not to good. The rest of the stampede we just walked around. As none of my friends wanted togo on the rides, because their poor or afriad im not too sure which one it is.

I got home at around 12ish and then started finding the UFC 100 replay.

Im going to talk about the whole card in genereal. It sucked. For UFC 100 I was expecting to have my socks blown off. UFC 98 was way better.

So heres my break down. I started watching the Hendo vs Bisping fight first. It was a closer fight then I expected and I seriously thought it was going togo decision but My guy Hendo KOed Bisping it was a good start for me as it got me pumped up.

the 2nd fight I saw was the GSP vs Thiago fight. This for me put me to sleep. I seriously was watching from my bed and I closed my eyes in between rounds and found myself awakinging and seeing the same stuff. GSP taking Thiago down and working ground and pound. It wasn't lay and pray, but lets face it. it was boring to watch as Thiago did not have any answer for it. It would have been better if GSP could finish Thiago. But Thiago was way to strong, so he would power out and get back to his feet and GSp would take him down again. I don't care what you say. This was a boring fight. Anderson silva vs thales leites wasn't even this bad, because Silva was toying with Leites with messed up kicks.

the 3rd fight was the main event with lesnar and mir. By the time GSP fight wrapped out I was out cold due to boredom and the long ass intro to the fight didn't help either. I found myself missing the whole first round and only watching the 2nd round mid point to finish. I just saw Lesnar pin down Mir and finish him. It was lame.

the last fight was cut out but it was paulo thiago vs jon fitch and it had a amazing first round but the stream got cut out so I defineatly want to see that fight again.

All in and all it might have been my fatigue level but I really didn't get into tonights fights. it was boring. But I'm so happy Hendo shut Bispings cocky mouth. So glad.

TUF 9 Final

Well for this ppv I have one bet. Not with any friends but this time online at a site called sportsbook.

The fight I have eyeballed that had reasonable odds was

Joe Stevenson vs. Nate Diaz
So lets break down the fight. I'll tell you right now Nick Diaz has been on a role in Strikeforce and he has become one of my favorite fighters and hes just so bizarre and so different from all the other fighters out there and I think Nate is going to imitate his brother and the success is going to go to him as well.

Nate Diaz is undefeated in my books in the UFC. His only loss was due to judges being retarded and were not watching the same fight as me. So hes going to be really motivated by getting back on the winning streak that he has complied. I usually won't bring up win history's as it has nothing to do with the fighters fighting but this time I Just have the feeling Diaz is more motivated the Joe as hes been on a losing streak as well. The problem with him is he knows he can never get any better then a gate keeper to the upper guys and the lower guys. So his motivation is a whole lot less. So I give cardio to Diaz if it goes to the 3rd round.

Stand up I will have to give Diaz as well as hes a tall skinny guy but his reach is through the roof in this division due to his body. Joe on the other hand has a completely different body type as hes more built and short. The advantage for me is diaz has more reach and is taller. Meaning Joe is going to have to punch up. Meaning hes not going to be use to punching at that angle making his punches a lot lighter. So he wont have his KO power. Diaz will have the stand up dominated in my books.

Ground game. Since Joe is compact and built I really don't think he will have to much problems taking down Diaz. But I don't know if its a wise decision to take down someone that's awesome in Jiu Jitsu and a student of the Gracie family. Joe has battled 2 people with awesome Jiu Jitsu and that's Kenny Florian and BJ Penn. He was submitted by both these guys. Yes Joe has ground and pound but since Jiu Jitsu is basically Diaz's specialty and he already knows Joe's specialty is wrestling. Diaz has a far superior training camp as he knows what to expect. I give the ground game to Diaz but wouldn't be surprised if my guy gets pounded out. But I find that hard as Diaz can take a punch.'

Conclusion expect to see a decision if it stands as Diaz he has better stand up to score points and I really dont see a KO here for Joe and definitely no KO for Diaz as he doesn't have Knock out power.
If it goes to the ground I see a triangle choke. I forgot to talk about Joes guillotine choke but do you really think Diaz is going to put his neck out there for Joe to grab when he knows he has a awesome grip?

I have $70 to bet on this fight and if I win I only win roughly $50. So on paper if everything goes right my guy should win. Hopefully I don't jinx it :) This is on Spike TV so enjoy a free night of fights and don't forget about Strikeforce tommrrow (FRIDAY) I have $20 on that fight but its not really worth me talking about those fights as well its just $20...
